Some dreams come suddenly. Others are born in our hearts and remain for years, waiting for the right moment to become reality.

Years ago, the  idea of Una Luna de Esperanza manifested in my heart. Since then, I've dreamed of doing everything possible so that children can live with the magic of Christmas. However, due to various circumstances, that dream had to wait.

A few weeks ago I had a dream that changed everything. I woke up with a peace that was hard to explain and with the certainty that I no longer had to wait. I took it as a sign that this was the year in which that dream became a reality..

I grew up knowing how difficult it can be for many families in Mexico to gift their children a toy for Christmas. I know that behind every gift there are sacrifices, efforts, and many times, the sadness of not being able to give everything one would like. The thought that, as a community, we can come together to change a child's Christmas is what inspires me to keep going.

The name of Una Luna de Esperanza has a very special meaning for me. "Luna” was my grandmother's last name. Although she passed away before I was born, I grew up hearing stories about the extraordinary woman she was. I was told how she shared whatever little or much she had, how she offered a plate of food to anyone in need, and how she always helped without expecting anything in return.

This project is my way of honoring her legacy and demonstrating that an act of kindness can continue to brighten lives.

Our purpose goes far beyond gifting toys. We want to give hope, remind children that they are important, that they are seen, and deeply valued.

My greatest wish is that, many years from now, I can look back and proudly say: It all started with a dream…but it was the faith and heart of a community that turned it into something much bigger than I ever imagined.

Because under the same moon, everyone can gift hope. 🌙✨
